My name is Juanjo, and my work is born from a deep desire to capture the invisible.

I’m from Huelva, in southern Spain, where the light has a color that cannot be found anywhere else in the world.
I started filming because I needed to tell stories. It wasn’t enough for me to see things; I needed to preserve them.
Today, after more than a hundred weddings, I still feel the same thing every time I turn on the camera: that what is about to happen deserves to be remembered just as it was.
My way of working is documentary and cinematic. I don’t direct. I don’t pose. I don’t interrupt. I move among people as one more, with the camera close but without invading. I believe that the most powerful moments are those that happen when no one is watching.
I’ve had the privilege of filming weddings in Andalusia, Saudi Arabia, Marrakech, and other international destinations. My work has been published in Vogue, Elle, ¡Hola! and Junebug Weddings.
But what matters most to me are not the awards or publications. What matters most to me is the call from a couple, months later, telling me that they got goosebumps again, watching their film.
