I'm Juanjo and I film weddings in Andalusia. I make documentary films: I don't direct anyone or set up poses. Your day, exactly as it happened.
What I do
Wedding films. I stay in the background and film what actually happens: the nerves in the morning, the shaking hand, the aunt crying in the third row. Every wedding is edited from scratch, with no template and no song that fits them all.
What makes it different
There are always two of us, not one person with one camera. At the ceremony there are two cameras and our own audio, with mics on the officiant and the couple: you can hear the vows, and that's the part of the film people rewatch most years later. You get the full ceremony, not a three-shot summary. We don't leave on the dot: we stay for the party. And the whole film is colour-matched, not a different tone in every shot.
Who it is for
For couples who want to remember how their wedding felt, not how they posed. And for couples who come from abroad to get married here, with guests from several countries and a three-day plan: the pre-wedding, the welcome dinner and the day after are part of the wedding too.
Who I am
Huelva is home, and I've been filming weddings all over Andalusia since 2016. What I've learned is that the good film doesn't come from directing people: it comes from being in the right place without anyone noticing me. My work has been featured in Vogue, Junebug Weddings, ¡HOLA!, Lucía Se Casa and ELLE.
How I work
You write to me with the date and the venue, and I reply within 24 hours, always me. Before the wedding I plan around the light, not the other way round: golden hour isn't improvised, it's booked before anyone looks at the clock. On the day, documentary and no posing. Afterwards, the edit, complete and from scratch.
