What is the virgulilla?

Virgulilla (~). Feminine noun. A little squiggle that weighs more than it looks.

And what joins love and leña.

Between the two there’s a line. It keeps the elegant apart from the indecent and, at the same time, joins them. That’s the virgulilla. (~).

The elegant half.

What every wedding brings: the ceremony, the light, the glances (and the odd tear).

Elegant at the ceremony.

LEÑA

The politically incorrect half.

It started with a bride you don’t forget: she came up with incredible things, all of them right on the edge of legal, and every one ended the same way: leña! She gave it a name, and if you’re reading this, you know who you are. Since then we’ve been looking for leña!, because it works, because it’s trendy, because it’s irreverent, because we couldn’t care less what people think, because we came here to make noise, and… it’s a… so why not? This is love&leña.

Indecent at the open bar.

Sometimes couples need someone to push them into doing something great. I push them, along with their friends, and it all kicks off.

I’m more leña than love. But love without leña is bland.

Between the two there’s a line. It keeps the elegant apart from the indecent and, at the same time, joins them. That’s the virgulilla. I drew it: it drops from LOVE onto the N of LEÑA. Take it away and you’re left with LENA: a lovely name, no fire.

What is the virgulilla?

It’s what joins love and leña.

But if you do, we’ll go wild.
